Chrome Flags are hidden experimental features as well as features that most users might not need. Some of the features could be work in progress items or it could be tested to know if it even should work on making a stable feature. To enable Google Chrome Flags, type in chrome://flags/ in the address bar of your Chrome browser.

Before we start looking at the list, note that these features are experimental which may behave differently at times. According to Google,

WARNING: EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES AHEAD! By enabling these features, you could lose browser data or compromise your security or privacy. Enabled features apply to all users of this browser.

To overcome any sudden change in browser behavior, you can turn off all these experimental features by pressing the Reset all to default button.

To enable any feature, you need to select Enabled from the drop-down menu. Whenever you have enabled any setting, you’ll have to relaunch your browser for the changes to take effect.

#1.Tab Audio Muting

This is a very nice feature wherein the audio indicators in the tab strip double as tab audio mute controls. This also adds commands in the tab context menu for quickly muting multiple selected tabs. This flag works on Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS platforms.

This will come in handy if you want to have a tough password to be generated automatically if this flag is enabled it allows the user to have Chrome generate passwords when it detects account creation pages. This flag works on Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android platforms.

#3.Automatic Tab Discarding

When this flag is enabled, tabs get automatically discarded from memory when the system memory is low. Discarded tabs are still visible on the tab strip and get reloaded when clicked on. This feature is on by default in some of the platforms. This flag works on Mac, Windows.

When this flag is enabled, Chrome runs a tab’s onunload js handler independently of the GUI. This enables fast tab/window closing. This feature works on Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android.

#5.Stop Websites From Hijacking your navigation
